This app is currently released only for the city of London, which means a clean content is availbale only for London in this release. Although you may see partial content available for other cities, we dont have fully processed clean content for them in this release. Thats planned for future releases.

Features related to Restaurant & Amenities are disabled in this release. They will be added in future releases.

Basic Details -

BeUnlost is a travel app for tourists when they are in-trip. BeUnlost lets tourists discover information about tourist spots. It is location aware and shows spots around in a 2km radius on a map based UI. It performs Text Processing on travel blogs from web and extacts relevent spot-specific content. As the information comes from travel blogs, the content is both experiential & factual.
Tourists get to see concise, summarized & categorized content along with images on a single screen without the need to search the web and consume voluminous content. Text Processing technology does that in the cloud.
Though the app had been designed for in-trip discovery of information, it can also be used for pre-depature trip planning.

Usage -

When the app opens it goes to your current location on the map and displays spots around in a 2km radius. When you tap any of those spots it will show detailed information about the chosen spot on a single screen. You can choose which category of spots to view by selecting the filter option on top right – currently you can choose among Historical, Human Made, Natural, Parks & Wildlife & Religious filters.
When you move around on the map new spots are loaded from the server. Current release is only for tourists for the city of London, which is also shown by an alert box as you open the app. You can navigate to spots in London city by searching in the Search Box at the top. If in some case, search box doesnt work then you may have to navigate manually to the London area on the map.

Internet connectivity -

The map-based UI on the app connects to processed information in the cloud over a wifi or mobile network. So the app requires you to be connected to internet.
